Photo and quote moderation

Purpose and required role

This is the human gate for photo-wall submissions and transcript-derived quotes. It requires an authorized moderator and documented consent/content standards. /snap accepts public submissions; /wall displays approved photos only. Do not download or alter storage objects.

Supported workflow

PhotoModerationQueue has Waiting, On the wall, and Hidden. WallQuoteQueue has To review, On the wall, and Hidden; it pulls only from published transcripts and reruns skip already-pulled quotes.

1. Open the queue from Command Center and begin with pending content.
2. Review complete context against privacy, consent, safety, and event standards.
3. Use one approved UI action: make live, hide, or the available rejection action. Do not use browser/storage tools to change media.
4. Pull quotes only after talks are published, then review exact wording.
5. Verify /wall in a non-admin view after approval when event operations require it.

Recovery and escalation

If private/inappropriate content is public, hide it through the queue, capture the item ID/time without copying media, and open an incident. If queue and wall disagree, preserve state and escalate rather than issuing conflicting retries.
