Check-in
Purpose, scope, and prerequisites
Section titled “Purpose, scope, and prerequisites”Check-in confirms arrival and grants configured points through the normal flow. It requires an authorized operator at /admin/check-in, an approved identity process, and a private workstation. A QR is an identifier to look up, not identity proof.
Supported procedure
Section titled “Supported procedure”The page supports name, email, or company search and QR scanning through QrScanner; it displays Check in and Undo.
- Scan the presented QR or search by name/company. Use email only when necessary.
- Confirm the displayed record with the person using the minimum needed information; do not say private details aloud.
- Select Check in once and observe the attendance state before issuing a badge.
- If the wrong record was checked in, select Undo immediately, note the correction, and repeat verification.
Expected result, recovery, and escalation
Section titled “Expected result, recovery, and escalation”Expected result: one participant shows checked in with the current timestamp. For camera denial, use manual search. A duplicate, missing, or conflicted record is not a reason to create another participant; record the sanitized symptom and escalate to Registration. For widespread failure, preserve the time/route and use incident response. A paper contingency needs separate authorization.
